Job Summary: Provides emergency and non-emergency transport to patients in the pre-hospital and inter-facility setting. Follow current policy and procedures.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
- Valid Iowa Class C Licensure.
- AHA HCP CPR required.
Emergency Vehicle Driving Safety Course preferred.
Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Be prepared to respond in a timely and safe manner to emergent and non-emergent requests.
- Critical thinking, scene control and gaining access to patients.
- Transport of patients per EMS provider.
- Attends departmental in-services and staff meetings as required or requested. Minimum of 100% attendance is required for our BASE meetings.
- Acts in a professional manner.
- Operate the secure car, wheelchair and ambulance in accordance with the driving policy.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education as directed.
- Maintain patient records according to policy and procedures.
- Acts in a professional manner reflecting the mission, vision and values of the care ambulance.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected.
- Turn in appropriate documents (PCRs) prior to leaving duty.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow infection control policy.
- Any and all driving citations are your responsibility to pay.
Available after 60 days:
