Job Summary: The SW District Manager is a senior field leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational and commercial performance of multiple branches within a designated district. This position ensures safe, efficient, and profitable execution of crane and rigging services across the Southwest region (specifically, Albuquerque, NM and El Paso, TX), while fostering strong customer relationships and mentoring local leadership teams.
Job Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary leadership liaison between the Albuquerque, NM and El Paso, TX branch teams and regional/company leadership, ensuring alignment on safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Own district-level performance metrics, including operational efficiency, safety compliance, preventative maintenance scores, and Return on Capital (ROC).
- Lead and mentor the branch teams with a focus on continuous improvement, talent development, and succession planning.
- Direct and support customer-facing initiatives related to crane services, rentals, parts sales, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast workload, schedule resources, and develop annual business plans and budgets.
- Manage union and non-union labor relations as applicable, ensuring compliance with labor policies and best practices.
- Review and approve sales proposals, cost estimates, and service plans for large projects, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.
- Conduct regular regional meetings and calls to share best practices and reinforce company initiatives and culture.
- Support the execution of annual inventory audits, quarterly sales bonuses, and training programs.
Required Qualifications: - BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in crane, rigging, or industrial equipment service, including field operations and technical support.
- Proven leadership experience managing multiple service locations and large field teams.
- Experience with general maintenance and repair of heavy industrial equipment such as cranes, hoists, lifting gear, or turbine-related systems.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
